Arazzi By Matteo Brioni
An all natural refined clay render with a natural resin binder applied to prefabricated timber panels in a range of modular shapes for dramatic architecural effect
This is a new concept of modular boiserie, aimed to widen the possible uses of clay plasters in architecture. The project applies methodologies typical of design to a raw material like natural clay, the idea being to produce a range of originals to be simply hung like pictures on a wall.
The set of modules allows ample scope for composition while combining skilled craftsmanship with the reliability of an industrial product. Arazzi thus introduces the first collection of object-products to adopt clay plaster as a cladding. With impressive textural and sensory results. Added to their surface values are significant energy-saving and technical advantages. Thanks to its notable acoustic insulation and thermal performance, clay plaster improves the qualities of an internal microclimate, besides filling the interior with warm light.
