Known throughout the world under different names (terrazzo tiles, baldosa, etc.) marble grit was one of the first materials created from the chips left over from work with marble and stone, bound with cement, coloured with natural oxides and blended with water. Just like many dishes of traditional Italian cooking, the terrazzo tile started out life as a product of the poor. The infinite number of decorative possibilities with edgings and carpets that enrich the plain colours, made it possible, and still do today, to obtain floors of the highest quality, which stand out as the most beautiful flooring in Italy and throughout the world.
